Hey Chica

What a remarkable event that took place Saturday at my former Alma Mater SMU!

Hey Chica Summit!

The building was full of powerful and successful Latina’s from all industries and backgrounds:

Politicians, entrepreneurs, activist, mentors, educators, reporters, professionals, students etc.

The summit involved speakers and breakout sessions with topics of choice.

Top speaker guests included Rafael Anchia, Nina Vaca, and Nely Galan.

Lots of creative activities surrounded the schedule such as obtaining a full set of lashes followed by a professional head shot!

Who can forget the paletero cart with paletas for all!

Founder Veronica Torres Hazley and her team did an amazing job!

Look forward to attending 2019!

Como La Flor

Today, parts of Dallas were captured while photographing a beautiful young upcoming star Desiree Sierra.

Who wouldn't want to include the legendary Tejano Queen, Selena Quintanilla-Perez in our photographs? Every Latina's inspiration from singer, model, to fashion designer. Our first stop, my hometown of Oak Cliff at Top Ten Records.

Follow Desiree and watch her live performances here in Dallas as well as in Los Angeles.

Issue #8

Another Texas day in August. I was able to book and schedule a Texas feature for Bombs Magazine Issue #8 this past weekend August 27th.

With coordination of multiple individuals, the best agreeable time to meet was 1 PM.

The sun was eating us alive!

We were able to meet in West Dallas formally known as “Trinity Groves” off Singleton during the North Texas Bombs picnic and shoot behind an old warehouse. This was the same exact amazing location used in one of my previous calendars!

Catch Victor Herrera’s 1947 Chevrolet Cabriolet from Pachuco C.C. Tejas in the next Bombs Issue with beautiful pin up model Victoria Castillo. Photography by yours truly.

Bombs

This past weekend I was fortunate enough to have been able to attend Bombs Magazine’s first L.A. Classic Car Show. With temperatures in the high 90's, it felt right at home. The event took place at the City of Industry Expo Center in CA.

There were over 400 Bombs in attendance 59′ and earlier including lovely Bombshell models participating in Mitzi and Co. Miss Bombs L.A. pinup contest.

It was great reacquainting with staff members and meeting new photographers.

Below is a shot from the show. I absolutely love the color paint on this 57′ Bel air.
